Oh, my ache-y neck!

To Pop-Pop's House, originally uploaded by purple sticky girl.

Katie took a brief nap on the way to Pop-Pop's house Sunday. When we arrived she lamented the fact that her neck was all stiff and ache-y.

The Horse in Harry's Room

Caleb, originally uploaded by purple sticky girl.

Was the horse in the story real or pretend?
Pretend
Could you really keep a horse in your room?
No
Why can't you let a real horse live in your room?
Because Mom and Dad wouldn't let you.

Snack

Snack, originally uploaded by purple sticky girl.

Caleb will occasionally have a handful of dry cereal as a snack. Today he decided to have a bowl-the biggest bowl he could find.

Yes, he did finish it all.

Katie at the Park

Slide

Sliiiiiiiiiide, originally uploaded by purple sticky girl.

Today Caleb wasn't as grumpy. It was warm enough to go to the park and he had a blast showing me the alternative methods of sliding.

On the way home I smelled something familiar coming from one of the neighbor's yards-charcoal. Not even 60 degrees and someone is grilling out.

From the back seat of the car Caleb piped up "Can we grill out too??"
After explaining to him that the grill would remain stored in the basement
until Spring he returned to chanting his previous motto of "Winter is STUPID!!"

Spring can't come soon enough.

Groundhog's Day

Groundhog's Day, originally uploaded by purple sticky girl.

This morning I made the mistake of not waiting until my son was fully awake before I told him that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. He did not take the news well. "Winter is STUPID!"

His homework was to take a groundhog puppet outside before school and see if it saw its shadow.

I think this picture captures his current attitude towards subterranean mammals.
